--:-- Cabot Phillips: The embattled former cryptocurrency mogul was hit with 25 years for his role in his company's collapse and the defrauding of users. --:-- John Bickley: Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee heard pretrial motions today in the Georgia election interference case. Attorneys for Donald Trump are seeking to dismiss the case, arguing that the former president calling the election results into question was, quote, the height of political speech.

--:-- Guest: He said that even if what the president said were untrue, his speech is protected by the First Amendment. Prosecution, however, claims that Trump's speech was part of a conspiracy to commit crimes. For purposes of the RICO statute and the manner in which it functions, it doesn't matter whether that's First Amendment conduct or not.
--:-- Guest: My colleague has fully explained why much of this conduct is not shielded under any circumstance by the First Amendment.
--:-- John Bickley: Judge McAfee ended the hearing without making any rulings on the motions.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Four people have been killed and several others injured in a stabbing rampage in and around Rockford, Illinois. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has the latest.
--:-- [Music transitions to a serious tone, and Tim Pierce speaks in a professional tone.]
--:-- Tim Pierce: Police say a 22-year-old man has been taken into custody for his alleged involvement in violence which spans multiple scenes. It's not yet clear how the violence unfolded. --:-- Tim Pierce: Officials have not yet identified the four people who were killed, but describe them as a 15-year-old girl, a 63-year-old woman, a 49-year-old man, and a 22-year-old man. According to officials, not all of them died from being stabbed.
--:-- Tim Pierce: During a press conference today, officials revealed the suspect said he had been on drugs. Soto said he believes the drugs provided to him by Jacob were, quote, laced, unquote, with an unknown narcotic.
--:-- Tim Pierce: Soto said he became paranoid after the drug usage. He said he retrieved a knife from the kitchen at Jacob's house and proceeded to stab Jacob and Ramona to death.
