Here she is explaining her hope that the devastation from previous storms will serve as a wake-up call to residents.
--:-- Ashley Moody: I am telling you, as someone who has been to these places personally, seen the devastation, spoken to folks that just didn't lose their home, lost loved ones, it really is a place you do not want to be in the middle of these storms.
--:-- Host (John Bickley): An Afghan citizen living in Oklahoma has been charged with plotting an election day terror attack, aiming to carry out the assault in the name of ISIS. According to the DOJ, the 27-year-old allegedly obtained weapons and trained for the attack intending to die as a martyr alongside a juvenile co-conspirator.
--:-- Host (John Bickley): The suspect entered the U in 2021 on a special immigrant visa and was arrested Monday and now faces up to 35 years in prison. Israel is moving forward with its air and ground campaign against Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah. Daily Wire reporter Amanda Presta-Giacomo has more.
--:-- Amanda Presta-Giacomo: The latest exchanges of fire come days after Israel marked the anniversary of Hamas' October 7th massacre and as Israeli leaders plan their response to last week's Iranian missile attack. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today ahead of Israel's cabinet vote to decide how to respond to Iran.
--:-- Amanda Presta-Giacomo: The conversation was expected to focus directly on the looming Israeli counterattack, with Biden opposing strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and oil reserves. The prime minister's office says Netanyahu spoke with former President Trump last week. Trump congratulated the prime minister on the determined and powerful actions Israel carried out against Hezbollah.
--:-- Host (John Bickley): As Israel prepares for its direct attack on Iran, Tehran has warned that any strike from the Jewish state could result in a retaliatory attack against civilians. While the Harris campaign continues its media blitz, Trump's campaign is focusing on battleground states while also throwing some famously blue state visits into the mix. Daily Wire senior editor Joel Needler reports.
--:-- Joel Needler: The former president is set to hold a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City and another rally near Coachella, California this Saturday. According to Trump campaign bigger crowd sizes have led them to choose venues such as the Garden to hold their events.
--:-- Joel Needler: And while the vice president continues to hit the airwaves Trump continues to make several appearances of his own such as sitting down with Daily Wire editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro and appearing on comedian Andrew Schultz's flagrant podcast today.
--:-- Host (John Bickley): Here's a moment from that appearance where Trump spoke about the investigation into the two attempts on his life.
--:-- Donald Trump: So you have this shooter and you have another shooter, right? So this shooter had three or so cell phones. The FBI has never gotten them opened. Wow. The other shooter, three apps, they call them. And I believe they were foreign-based apps, from what I understand. Why wouldn't you open them when you hear about Iran or when you hear about, you know, foreign? Then the other one had six cell phones, and they haven't opened. Now, you know, it's very hard to open a cell phone. Only Apple can do it, in theory, unless you have somebody. But they had no problem getting the J6 people cell phones open. And they open their cell phones very quickly.

--:-- Host (John Bickley): Vice President Kamala Harris's plan to expand Medicare to cover in-home care for seniors is facing a wall of criticism due to its projected cost. Economists tell the New York Post the program could run tens of billions more than Harris's estimated $40 billion. They also say it could add to inflation and the federal deficit While Harris claims the plan will be funded by cutting drug costs and addressing Medicare fraud critics argue it relies too heavily on immigration for care workers and may strain public finances.
--:-- Host (John Bickley): The Colorado Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit against Christian Baker Jack Phillips. The case involved Phillips' refusal to bake a cake for a trans-identifying man by the name of Autumn Scardina celebrating his transition. The court's decision didn't address the broader dispute between anti-discrimination protections and First Amendment rights. Instead, the court opted for a procedural ruling stating Scardina hadn't exhausted all legal options before suing.
--:-- Host (John Bickley): Regardless, lawyers representing Phillips say it's a huge win. We were thrilled because this is the end of 12 years of Jack being dragged through the court. So to have the court say that this final case is over, it brings a lot of joy to Jack and his family to see the end of this.
