--:-- Georgia Howe: I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire editor-in-chief John Bickley. It's Wednesday, September 4th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.
--:-- John Bickley: At least four people are dead and many more injured in a shooting on a high school campus in Winder, Georgia. Some critically injured individuals were airlifted to nearby hospitals.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Police sources say a suspect, believed to be of student age, is in custody, although it's unclear if the suspect attended Appalachee High School.
--:-- John Bickley: Meanwhile, all schools in the district are on lockdown as a precaution with no reports of additional incidents.
--:-- Georgia Howe: A bombshell congressional report reveals that Thomas Crooks, the would-be Trump assassin, was initially incapacitated by a local SWAT officer before being fatally shot by a Secret Service sniper.
--:-- John Bickley: Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has the latest. The report, led by Congressman Clay Higgins, claims a SWAT officer's shot disabled Crooks' rifle, preventing further gunfire at the July 13th rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
--:-- Tim Pierce: This challenges the FBI's initial claim that a Secret Service sniper shot Crooks in the head within seconds.
--:-- John Bickley: The report also raises concerns about the FBI handling of the investigation including the cremation of Crooks' body which happened just 10 days after the incident.
--:-- Tim Pierce: More details from the same report were presented by Senator Josh Hawley on Jesse Waters primetime. Hawley revealed that the Homeland Security agents reassigned to Trump's security detail at the time of the attempted assassination, received just two hours of online training.
--:-- John Bickley: Hawley claims these agents were egregiously underprepared for their mission.
--:-- Tim Pierce: I'm told that actually agents, Homeland Security agents, were pulled off of child exploitation cases, child endangerment cases, the stuff they normally do. They don't normally do protective detail work at all. They were pulled off those cases and said, here, you're going to go guard the former president of the United States.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Watch this webinar.
--:-- John Bickley: The Justice Department has charged six senior Hamas leaders for their role in the October 7th attack, three of whom have already been killed.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Attorney General Merrick Garland said the charges are part of ongoing efforts to hold Hamas accountable.
--:-- Merrick Garland: The charges unsealed today are just one part of our effort to target every aspect of Hamas's operations. These actions will not be our last. The Justice Department has a long memory. We will pursue the terrorists responsible for murdering Americans and those who illegally provide them with material support for the rest of their lives.
--:-- Georgia Howe: A San Francisco 17 has been charged for the shooting of NFL player Ricky Pearsall.
--:-- John Bickley: The teen faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and attempted robbery.
--:-- Georgia Howe: San Francisco DA Brooke Jenkins emphasized the need for accountability but has not yet decided if the teen will be tried as an adult.
--:-- Brooke Jenkins: [audio unclear]
--:-- Georgia Howe: Peer Saul, who was shot in Union Square, is recovering and was released from the hospital just 24 hours after the incident.
--:-- John Bickley: His team and family have rallied around him celebrating his miraculous recovery.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Here's the team's general manager, John Lynch, giving an update.
--:-- John Lynch: Ricky's going to be great. He's going to be a fantastic player. At times we've seen him out on the plate, he's exactly what we envisioned and mourned. And I can't wait to see that take place in due time.
--:-- Georgia Howe: The 25-year-old daughter of Fulton County DA Fannie Willis was arrested last month in Georgia for allegedly driving with a suspended license.
--:-- John Bickley: The incident occurred after Kenia Willis was pulled over for using a cell phone while driving.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Kenia claims she was unaware her license had been revoked. Her mother, who was prosecuting the Trump 2020 election interference case, later arrived to secure her daughter's vehicle.
--:-- John Bickley: Kenia faces an October 24th arraignment and potential jail time.
--:-- Georgia Howe: And Amazon is facing some scrutiny over Alexa's drastically different responses when asked why to vote for Donald Trump versus Kamala Harris.
--:-- John Bickley: Videos over the last couple of days have quickly gone viral, showing Alexa declining to answer when asked for reasons to vote for Trump.
--:-- Georgia Howe: I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate.
--:-- John Bickley: But when asked about Kamala Harris, Alexa says the following.
--:-- Georgia Howe: While there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a strong candidate with a proven track record of accomplishment. As the first female vice president, Harris has already broken down a major gender barrier, and her career in politics has been characterized by a commitment to progressive ideals and a focus on helping disenfranchised communities.
--:-- John Bickley: Amazon admitted to Fox News that the discrepancy was an error and quickly corrected it.
--:-- Georgia Howe: The company emphasized that Alexa does not hold political opinions and supposedly has systems in place to prevent such issues.
--:-- John Bickley: Those are your drive home updates this afternoon.
