--:-- John Bickley: The final presidential polls show an incredibly tight race. Real clear politics average of the seven key battleground state polls gives Trump a 0.8% advantage, including slight leads in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. The polls give Harris the edge in Michigan and Wisconsin. Meanwhile, the average of the national polls are almost dead even, with Harris holding just a 0.1% edge head-to-head and Trump with the same edge when the other presidential candidates are included. Analysts say Democrats generally need at least a two-point national advantage to have a chance to win the Electoral College.
--:-- Ash Short: Daniel Penny has repeatedly been described as, quote, the white man in his ongoing manslaughter trial. The prosecutor and a witness in the trial of Daniel Penny referred to him as the white man or the white guy during testimony, while referring to the deceased Jordan Neely as Mr. Neely.
--:-- John Bickley: On day two of the controversial trial Yvette Rosario testified about what she saw when Penny placed Neely in a chokehold to prevent him from hurting other passengers the New York Post reports Rosario filmed a short video of Penny restraining Neely in the chokehold and was asked about what took place. Rosario apparently didn't know Penny's name, so she referred to him as the white guy. Not only did the prosecution not correct her, but they began referring to Penny as the white man throughout her testimony.
--:-- Ash Short: In contrast, Rosario did refer to Neely by his first name or as Mr. Neely. The Manhattan assistant DA did the same throughout the exchange. The two referred to Penny as the white man or the white guy more than half a dozen times during Rosario's testimony.
