--:-- Georgia Howe: President Trump is giving Russia an economic ultimatum. In the invasion of Ukraine or face massive tariffs. Daily Wire deputy managing editor Tim Rice has more.
--:-- Tim Rice: In a Truth Social post today, Trump said he's prepared to impose tariffs and sanctions on Russian goods if a peace deal isn't reached soon. He emphasized his respect for Russia and its people, but insisted the war must end to prevent further loss of life. Trump also said the conflict would not have started under his leadership and urged President Putin to negotiate.
--:-- Georgia Howe: This comes days after Putin said he was ready to come to the bargaining table. As for settling the situation itself, its goal should be not a brief ceasefire, not just getting some time to regroup and rearm and carry on the conflict but long term peace based on respect to lawful interests of all people and nationalities living in the region
--:-- Tim Rice: The United States imported nearly $15 billion in Russian goods in 2022, including fertilizers and precious metals. President Donald Trump has announced plans for a 10% tariff on Chinese imports starting February 1st, citing China's role in fentanyl trafficking.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Trump said Tuesday that he discussed trade with President Xi Jinping, emphasizing his firm stance. He also signed an executive order directing investigations into trade deficits and the creation of an external revenue service to collect tariffs. Critics warn the tariffs could raise consumer costs and spark retaliation, while Trump argues they will boost American manufacturing.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Additional tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico are also expected soon.

--:-- Georgia Howe: Trump fired back on social media, calling her remarks nasty and inappropriate. He accused Budd of politicizing the event and failing to address the vast number of illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. He also said Budd owes her church and the public an apology.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Some lawmakers have also expressed disappointment in her remarks, saying her comments ignored Trump's diverse cabinet appointments.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Bud went on The View today where she doubled down on her politically charged sermon. I was trying to speak a truth that I felt needed to be said, but to do it in as respectful and kind a way as I could.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Social media erupted with people calling Bud woke and also noting that the National Prayer Service traditionally avoids delving into political issues.
--:-- Georgia Howe: My home state, Florida, saw one of its heaviest snowfalls since 1989.
