Paul Alex: Welcome to The Level Up Podcast, where real stories fuel real success. I'm your host, Paul Alex. Today, we have an incredible guest, Alex Ruiz, who's here to share his journey from being homeless at 21 to funding over $12 million in credit and business capital by the age of 25.

Alex Ruiz: Thanks for having me on the show, Paul.

Paul Alex: So, Alex, let's dive right in. You've had an incredible journey, and I'm excited to share it with our audience. Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you ended up in the credit repair and funding business?

Alex Ruiz: Sure. I grew up with a single mother and nine siblings, and we were homeless for a bit. But I was determined to make a change. I started doing door-to-door sales for solar companies, and that's when I realized I had a passion for helping people.

Paul Alex: That's amazing. And you went on to barber school, which is a great way to develop people skills. Can you tell us a little bit about that experience?

Alex Ruiz: Yeah, I was more doing it just to gain the skill, but also to learn how to be personable and talk to people. I was still doing solar at the time, and I would talk to customers about their electricity bills. It was a great way to build rapport and understand their needs.

Paul Alex: That's fantastic. And then you started learning about credit and business funding. Can you walk us through that process?

Alex Ruiz: Yeah, I was introduced to the space through a mentorship program. I was reading and learning as much as I could, and I realized that credit repair and funding were areas where I could make a real impact.

Paul Alex: That's great. And you've had a lot of success in this space, funding over $12 million in credit and business capital. Can you tell us a little bit about your approach and what sets you apart?

Alex Ruiz: Sure. I focus on helping mortgage lenders, real estate agents, and real estate investors fix their credit and get approved for funding. I also help them understand the credit repair process and how to improve their credit profiles.

Paul Alex: That's amazing. And you've also been able to build a strong personal brand and community. Can you tell us a bit about that?

Alex Ruiz: Yeah, I've been hosting events and building relationships with people in the industry. I believe that personal branding and community are key to building trust and credibility.

Paul Alex: That's great advice. And finally, what's next for you? What are your goals and aspirations in the next two years?

Alex Ruiz: I'd love to speak at bigger events with a thousand people or more. I'd also like to continue building my personal brand and community, and to help more people achieve their financial goals.

Paul Alex: That's fantastic. And before we go, can you share some final words of wisdom with our audience?

Alex Ruiz: Yeah, I'd say that having a game plan and a foundation is key. For me, that means having a relationship with God and being fully committed to my goals. I'd also recommend journaling, going to the gym, and reading books to continue learning and growing.
