Ryan Hanley: Welcome to another episode of the show. I wanted to jump in today and do a solo episode to talk through a few things. I want to address what's happened recently with Rogue Risk, discuss some of the rumors circulating about it, and share what's coming in the future.

Ryan Hanley: First and foremost, Rogue Risk has been closed. It no longer exists. I'm no longer the CEO and founder, and there are no employees working for Rogue Risk. This happened about a month ago.

Ryan Hanley: I was shocked and disappointed by the closure, but I hold no ill will towards SIAA. They made a strategic decision that was in their best interest, and it didn't align with Rogue Risk. While it's a shame, I understand how business works and don't take it personally.

Ryan Hanley: I've been in similar situations before, growing things rapidly only to have them taken away. I'm mentally prepared for these changes. I work hard and consider myself a wartime general, built to attack, grow, and optimize.

Ryan Hanley: Rogue Risk was a unique, digitally native, human-optimized agency. We focused on small commercial business owners who wanted a human experience in a digital way. Our one-call-close sales system was key to our success, with a close ratio of 89.2% for me and 40% for new producers who learned the process.

Ryan Hanley: I launched Rogue Risk in March 2020, just before COVID hit. We sold our first policy in May and our first commercial policy in August. By April 2022, we had five employees and sold to SIAA. We continued to grow, adding 12 employees and refining our process.

Ryan Hanley: Our niche was our process, not an industry. We were a master generalist, using a shaker deck approach to match clients with the right market and workflow. This process worked incredibly well, especially during the hard market.

Ryan Hanley: I've started a new company called Finding Peak, a media company delivering education and value to the industry. I want to teach the one-call-close process and share tools and resources to help agencies grow organically alongside M&A.
