--:-- John Bickley: I'm Daily Wire editor-in-chief John Bickley with Georgia Howe. It's Thursday, October 31st, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Former President Trump responded to President Biden's viral comments disparaging Trump supporters. Trump's response came while he was talking to reporters from inside a garbage truck.
--:-- John Bickley: Daily Wire deputy managing editor Tim Rice has more. After stepping off his plane, Trump climbed into the truck and told reporters that Biden's remarks were offensive. He went on to say that Biden should be ashamed of himself, adding that Kamala Harris should not have allowed such comments.
--:-- Georgia Howe: How do you like my garbage truck? This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.
--:-- John Bickley: Later at his rally Trump appeared in a sanitation worker uniform emphasizing that his supporters are not garbage. He continued to criticize Biden's rhetoric saying it disrespects millions of Americans and fuels division.
--:-- Georgia Howe: When he called us all garbage, how stupid, what a stupid word. That blows deplorable away, don't you think?
--:-- John Bickley: Of course, I thought irredeemable when she said deplorable or irredeemable. I thought irredeemable was actually worse, but deplorable seemed to catch up. But this garbage stuff blows it away.
--:-- Georgia Howe: A new poll from the Washington Post shows that Trump and Harris remain neck and neck in the key battleground state of Michigan. The poll shows Trump leading Harris 47 to 45% among registered voters, but Harris holds a slim margin among likely voters 47 to 46.
--:-- John Bickley: Economic concerns top voter issues. According to the poll, Trump holds an edge on economic and immigration issues, while Harris leads on abortion and healthcare.
--:-- Georgia Howe: The House Judiciary Committee is questioning YouTube over accusations that the platform attempted to censor former President Trump's recent interview with Joe Rogan.
--:-- Tim Rice: In a letter to Alphabet's CEO, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan expressed concerns that YouTube may have intentionally buried the video in search results and on its trending page. YouTube has acknowledged that for some searches, the full interview wasn't prominently shown, but says it has since corrected the issue.
--:-- John Bickley: Earlier this week, the congressman also said that there's evidence to show that the FTC ramped up restrictions on Twitter soon after Elon Musk purchased the company.
--:-- Tim Rice: Jordan told Morning Wire that FTC chair Lena Kahn quickly pushed for a consent decree against Twitter demanding over 350 documents from Musk's team in the first three months of ownership. She worked for Jerry Nadler and the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee. So she's been after Musk from the get-go.
--:-- Georgia Howe: And I think, again, part of this attack on the First Amendment, where it's big government, big media, big tech, all working together to stifle American speech, what some call the whole censorship industrial complex.
--:-- Tim Rice: And they said, well, we got to go after the guy who said, you know, he spent all this money not to buy Twitter. He spent all this money to protect the First Amendment.
--:-- John Bickley: An effort made by Philadelphia's Soros-backed district attorney to stop Elon Musk's million-dollar giveaway to swing state voters has been paused. This comes after lawyers for the Tesla CEO filed late Wednesday to have the case moved to federal court.
--:-- Tim Rice: Philly DA Larry Krasner claims Musk's America PAC is violating state lottery regulations and consumer protection laws. The PAC awards $1 million daily to voters in battleground states who signed a petition to support free speech and gun rights.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Krasner has sought an injunction to stop the payments, calling the giveaway deceptive.

--:-- Georgia Howe: Cuomo is facing potential legal trouble. A House subcommittee has referred him to the Justice Department for possible prosecution. A coronavirus pandemic subcommittee accuses Cuomo of lying to Congress about his involvement in a 2020 COVID report on nursing home deaths.
--:-- John Bickley: The report allegedly downplayed the number of fatalities, but Cuomo denies any wrongdoing, stating that he simply didn't recall the details.
--:-- Georgia Howe: Here's a bit from his testimony. All credible studies now say that COVID came into nursing homes through community spread and infected staff. Not hospital admissions or readmissions.
--:-- John Bickley: Start the party, Los Angeles! Your Dodgers have won the World Series!
--:-- Georgia Howe: The L.A. Dodgers are world champions after their win last night over the New York Yankees. But post-game celebrations in L.A. took a chaotic turn.
--:-- John Bickley: Crowds set a city bus on fire, clashed with police, and looted stores, including a Nike store near Dodger Stadium.
--:-- Georgia Howe: The LAPD shared videos showing looters filling cars with stolen merchandise and officers facing rocks, bottles, and fireworks as they tried to disperse the crowds.
--:-- John Bickley: Mayor Karen Bass condemned the violence, warning it will not be tolerated.
--:-- Georgia Howe: The Dodgers are set to hold a victory parade in downtown L.A. tomorrow.
--:-- John Bickley: All right, those are your drive-home updates this Halloween afternoon. To learn more about these stories, go to dailywire.com. And for more in-depth reporting on the biggest stories of the day, tune in to our full episode of Morning Wire every morning.
